Mr Green Casino Review

Mr Green Casino

Trust the Swedes to bring us an all-singing, all-dancing online casino that doesn’t make a song and dance about itself. Although only running since 2008, Mr Green’s Casino has an excellent pedigree, with two of the founders of Betsoft responsible for it’s conception. Now rolled out across Northern Europe and the UK, Mr Green’s currently heralds what looks to be a new era of online casino sites.

Software & Graphics

The site’s exclusive use of Flash means no downloading is required, which until now was a double-edged sword with Flash sites offering less gaming variety. Not any more: Mr Green’s ups the ante among it’s Flash-based competitors by selecting the best games from a host of software providers including Net Entertainment, Wagerworks, Betsoft and Nyx Interaction.

Ironically, there’s nothing flashy about the site itself. Whilst elegantly understated it also manages to avoid that ‘down the bookies’ look of some of it’s competitors. More importantly, access to the games is laid out in a superlative manner via a tasteful sidebar taking you straight to the options grid for each category of game without needing to scroll, and – thankfully – leaving out the endless, ugly game listings that some sites put at the foot of their intro pages.

Games

Unsurprisingly there’s over 100 slots and over 20 varieties of video poker along with virtual horse racing, Keno and scratchcards, but it’s the beautifully-presented table games that took our breath away. And it gets better: all of the games are easily accessible in Fun Mode, with none of the  constant signup or download prompts that we all hate so much. In fact, Mr Green makes it very clear that he has his players’ interests at heart: With a move that’ll raise a few eyebrows among the online gambling community, he’s adopted the most up-front Responsible Gaming policy around, offering you the chance to set daily, weekly or monthly risk limits right up front.

Bonuses and Promotions

There’s a respectable 100% signup bonus, up to 250 pounds – although this limit can be increased for high rollers at Mr Green’s discretion. Otherwise, this is where the site appears to be lacking in comparison. Rumours of reload bonuses and credits awarded to regulars for weekly lottery draws  are not borne out prior to registration – the promotions page is in fact conspicuous by it’s absence, but then again maybe that’s as it should be: you can’t help but get the feeling that Mr Green would consider a glut of such incentives on his homepage as a little downmarket.

Payment Options

Visa, Mastercard, Entropay, Solo, PaySafe, Moneybookers and Instant Bank are all supported. Withdrawals take 72 hours, and – significantly – being a Flash site means your online cash account details are as secure as they can be.

Customer Support

It’s hard to imagine needing any help, though if you do you’ll only be able to email them – with a target response time of 24 hours.

With only a couple of very minor gripes this is indisputably one of the best in the business, showing that no-download gaming has come of age. Despite offering potential thrills and spills it’s classy, well designed and wants to look after you. Think of Mr Green’s as being as cool as a Saab whilst as safe as a Volvo, and you won’t go too far wrong….
